Rex Abbott, from the Lake Norman area of North Carolina, rides both wakeboard and wakeskate. He was 3rd at the 2026 WWA Wakeboard World Championships and 3rd overall in Junior Pro on the 2026 Pro Wakeboard Tour.

He also won the 2022 WWA World Championship in Men’s Wakeskate.
